Past few weeks have opened the eyes of people of this nation about how effective the administrative and the government machinery is. Not only did a bunch of officials sleep through repeated warnings in the past few weeks, but also the politicians have made a complete mockery of the faith and trust invested in them by the people of this country. There has been such blatant oversight displayed by these bodies that it becomes tough for someone to not feel frustrated and angry.
My heart goes out to the people of Bihar who are stuck in the midst of the worst man made calamity and i hope and pray that they see through these tough times. What strikes me though is how humans turn to animals in such times as there are reports of rapes, thefts etc during times when there is a need to unite to survive.
Whether it is Nitish Kumar or Laloo Yadav or any other politician they have misused power to exploit a state which perhaps has the highest potential for development. I am also surprised that the people of Bihar fail to see through what these leaders have done.
Its a shame that the state which churns out the maximum number of IAS officers in the country hasnt yet seen anyone going back to the roots from where they came to make things better. Hope lives on that someday people of Bihar will unite and stand up for what they deserve. Its time for the people of this country to unite and help the flood ravaged state.
Lastly i feel the Prime Minister of this country should take the blame for not reacting stronglyeven after the situation had gone bad. We only see him meekly visiting a few flood hit areas with folded hands. I wonder if he doesnt have the power to unleash all the help in a situation like this then who does...an eg. even when people are drowning officials are waiting for paper work completion to let the boats out

F1- The Ferrari Obsession
What happened last week at the Belgian Grand Prix goes to show the obsession F1 org has with making Ferrari the winner. No doubt its a great organization which makes some of the best cars the world has seen or will see, but what Hamilton did in Belgium was bring excitement back to a sport which was otherwise becoming more a " Pole Position" game.
Even as a rookie he impressed last year and put up a brave fight but for his failure to hold his nerves towards the end. Some may call him brash in his driving but i believe this is what makes racing what it is. Its about how man can challenge the machine he has created and pushes the limits.
I donot have a bias for any drivers for any car makers but i do feel that at this point of time in the present lot i dont see a better entertainer on the tracks besides Lewis Hamilton. He brings an element of unpredictability which makes any sport exciting. I hope that this interference is minimized in future and "May the Best Man Win".
